Zaremba Group has evolved from a home
remodeling business to a full service national, commercial and residential development company.  Since 1920, when the Zaremba name first appeared on a home remodeling sign in Cleveland, Ohio, three generations of Zarembas have earned a National reputation in all aspects of real estate development, construction and management.

A modest home remodeling business expanded into land development and construction of multi-family residential projects, shopping centers and build-to-suit facilities for destination retailers and other commercial users.

Although our activities have grown and diversified substantially over the years, a strong family tradition continues to provide stability and direction to the company. Today, the chief executive officer is Walter Zaremba, oldest member of the third Zaremba generation.

Following World War II, the unprecedented demand for new housing created by returning veterans and their families presented Zaremba with its first opportunity for substantial growth.

Zaremba was quick to recognize and act upon other opportunities in the residential market as they occurred. In the 1950ís and 60ís, we expanded our activities into multi-family housing, both conventional and subsidized rentals as well as luxury condominiums. Currently, multi-family represents one of the important growth segments of our business. We have the experience to successfully navigate the complexities of the multi-family development process.

The suburban housing developments created in the post-war period generated another need: new shopping facilities for young and growing suburban families. Beginning in the early 1950ís, Zaremba became active in retail development; first in northern Ohio, then extending over time as far as the mid-Atlantic, south Florida and the Pacific Northwest.

The companyís highly visible success in shopping center development inevitably led to Zarembaís next strategic move: providing destination retailers with a new generation of super-stores. This continues to be a major Zaremba specialty today, with 1 million square feet of retail space planned or in development.

Zaremba has also become a strategic development partner to national retailers.  Zaremba has been earmarked by a number of high-profile  national retailers as "Preferred Developer" to apply a full service real estate delivery system to generate high quality store locations at attractive occupancy costs.

Over the past 6 years, Zaremba has been been growing our shopping center division and garnering relationships with investors.  The shopping center pipeline continues to grow with over 4 million square feet currently in development. 

Although our activities have grown and changed substantially over the years, the strong family tradition continues to make Zaremba Group, LLC a leader in the real estate industry.
